HUMANE HANDLING AND LABORATORY TECHNIQUES: RABBITS

Netherland Dwarf Rabbit To allow greater flexibility for research staff, the Department of University Animal Care has prepared this "self-instruction" module. Please read the following general information, watch the videotape at the Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) medical library-media department then complete the quiz. In order to become certified for protocol purposes, the quiz must be eighty-five percent correct (you may miss three questions).
 

This program is designed to provide instruction in the principles and techniques of humane restraint and handling of the rabbit. The methods presented in the videotape are a representative sample of the more commonly used techniques for this species.
